Bill is admitted to practice in Kentucky, Ohio, and before the U.S. Tax Court. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BS in Accounting and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Kentucky in 1980. Bill is AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review RatedSM by Martindale-Hubbell.®

His areas of practice include:

Bill has previous work experience with an accounting firm and with the Internal Revenue Service and has practiced law since 1980. He has previously taught individual, business entity, and estate and gift tax courses at the University of Kentucky.

In addition, he has written several law journal articles and has appeared on television and radio, as well as in the newspaper concerning various tax-related subjects. Bill has been a speaker on estate planning, probate, and corporate tax issues at various seminars sponsored by bar associations, trade associations, continuing legal education providers, and companies in Kentucky.

His diverse experience serves an impressive client list includes television/radio stations, coal companies, oil and gas companies, industrial gas companies, bottled water producers, record storage companies, horse farms and charitable foundations.

Kenton is of counsel at the firm. He is admitted to practice in Kentucky, Illinois, and the U.S. Tax Court. He graduated from Centre College (cum laude) with a BS in Economics in 1980, received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Kentucky in 1984, and received his LLM in Taxation from Boston University School of Law in 1990. His areas of practice include:

Kenton is a former attorney manager with the Division of Legal Services of the Kentucky Revenue Cabinet where he litigated from 1991 through 1998.  Subsequently, he headed the Tax Department of the Lexington office of a large accounting office.

He has extensive business/legal experience with the following businesses: equine, real estate development, condominium associations, manufacturing, auto dealerships, cigarette distribution, timberland valuation, and personal estate planning.  He has litigated issues from real property valuation to the computation of penalties to innocent spouse protection.

Tom is of counsel at the firm. He is admitted to practice in Kentucky. Tom graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BS in Accounting and Finance. Tom joined Ernst & Young, LLP in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1992. There he provided tax planning and tax return preparation services to a diverse client base ranging from high net worth individuals to Fortune 500 companies. He earned his Kentucky Certified Public Accountant's license and rose to the rank of Senior Tax Analyst in Ernst & Young's Personal Financial Group before joining the firm in 1996.

Tom has taught courses at the University of Kentucky in several areas of business, including accounting and business law.
